Jennifer Cirone coined “Marble Flow Medium.” As an Earth Science teacher for at-risk teens and youth in custody, teaching geology, Cirone combines her love of nature, art, and science with Metamorphic Marble Flow Medium. Metamorphism is the process of transformation or change of one form to another in nature by natural means. Cirone has studied and taught geological stratigraphy maps for years. Rocks under heat and pressure undergo metamorphism. Her concept of Natural ART; ARTSCIENCE, embodying all aspects of nature and its vibrancy, is expressed in her pieces. Cirone strategically combines the flow of luminous colors to merge together, metamorphizing the colors into swirling marble geode flows. As an abstract artist, Cirone uses fire, airflow, and gravity as her scientific art tools and methods, depicting flowing foliation layers found in geological stratigraphy maps and metamorphic rocks and minerals such as marble, amethyst, gneiss, and schist. Cirone’s work captures the transformative energy of the Earth—where heat, pressure, movement, and time converge into luminous formations of color, texture, and natural abstraction.
