The late American entertainer Tony Bennett (1926–2023) is also recognized in the art world for his paintings, which he created under his birth name, Anthony Benedetto. Bennett exhibited an interest in art from a young age—he had early dreams of becoming a painter—and was educated at the School of Industrial Arts (now the School of Art and Design) in New York.
