Born 1957, Chaleff-Feingold began a serious pursuit of painting in 1987. Thereby fulfilling her lifelong dream of working as a professional artist. Her primary medium is acrylic on canvas with images that wrap around the edges, eliminating any need for framing. Bright colors, bold images, and the fascination for pattern and shape are Chaleff-Feingold’s trademark. Interpretations of faces and the human form which become quite other worldly are her subjects. Unexpected details and messages create depth. She uses all of these elements to elicit emotions that are generally uplifting, giving the viewer the message that life holds mystery, humor, and hope.
