Born in Holguin, Cuba in 1962, Fernando started painting in his early teens and developed a love for color. He gathers inspiration from artists such as Picasso and Leger, then combines their style with major Cuban influences. Fernandez strives to perfect his derivative style and has exhibited with several art groups throughout Cuba and South Florida. Fernando immigrated to the USA in 2001 and enjoys the climate of South Florida. Fernando says his "figures convey a series of complex emotions through bright and bold colors.”
