Jean Juhlin (b. 1931), renowned for her abstract Indian figures, first discovered her passion for sculpture at age 10 during classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she fell in love with working in clay. After pursuing commissioned bronze portraits early in her career, she shifted to abstract figures inspired by Native cultures, a subject she discovered through a library book during a period of illness. Her work reflects both an artistic exploration of cultural heritage and her personal journey as an artist.

Juhlin's sculptures have been exhibited at prestigious venues, including the Ray Tracey Gallery in Santa Fe, El Prado Gallery in Sedona, Miller Gallery in Cincinnati, and the Other Side Gallery in Pier, Michigan.
