Born in Genoa in 1978, Marco Michelini, aka Myfo, was so much more before becoming the artist he is today. Fashion designer, luxury yatch supply entrepreneur, but also interior designer.

His character, Myfo, was born in 2006 and from the very beginning he was associated with the gun-wielding bandit he drew, which has become in effect the recognizable symbol of his art. Criminals and symbols or objects related to this world are the favorite subjects of the artist, who wants to extrapolate the wholesome side of these characters, who are not always evil.

In 2018 he began experimenting with different techniques, moving closer to figurative art. And it is during this period, in his underground loft in Genoa, that his first works inspired by Andy Warhol and Mimmo Rotella are born. It is during 2018 that Myfo establishes himself as an artist, discovered by a former gallery owner who notices his works and urges him to propose them to a few art galleries.

Driven by a desire to make his works known to all, he thought an excellent showcase could be Milan. And he is not wrong. A short time later, an influential art dealer offered him a contract to exhibit 18 of his works that were to replace 18 original Andy Warhol canvases at the Cipriani restaurant in Monte Carlo. There are many stars and VIPs who have been enchanted by his art, first of all Paris Hilton, who after seeing one of his paintings in a club, immediately asks to meet the artist and decides to buy at all costs the work that had impressed her.

Paris Hilton also talked about Myfo on her Instagram account, generating a sizable following for the artist, who soon thereafter began to receive so many requests from all over the world. But while Paris Hilton was one of the first to recognize the artist's genius, soon, Myfo's canvases began decorating the homes of major national and international figures from the worlds of music, politics, soccer, film, and television.

Other exclusive venues are also beginning to request his works, of which Twiga in Monte Carlo and Forte dei Marmi are among the first. His works can be found on permanent display in various art galleries around the world, but they can be viewed at the artist-owned MYFO Gallery on Via Ceresio in Milan.

Marco Michelini began a collaboration with the major fashion brand Twin Set for which he exclusively designed a limited-edition capsule collection first launched in 2021 that includes garments with his iconic graphics.
